The Ansar-VDP information system in Gazipur is the Head Quarter of the Ansar-VDP. It was established for proper training of Ansar-VDP members in 1970 and named it ‘National Training Academy’. In 1983 it was renamed as ‘Ansar Training School’. In 1986 as Ansar Academy and finally in 1995 it was named Bangladesh Ansar-VDP academy. The academy covered about 359 acres of land with tremendous beauty. The natural beauty of the academy attract s the many visitors throughout the year like Zastat Holiday Resort picnic spot which has covered by 01 million trees with 550 varieties.
There is a beautiful Umbrella shade in the lake which is the most attractive location in the academy that is frequently used by the shooting teams for making movies, TV serials and commercials. Arshinagar Holiday Resort picnic spot also has a facility for shooting. We here want to mention that there are no booking facilities there, but you need to get permission from the authority. For this, you have to apply on a prescribed format and paying advance a fixed amount of money by a bank draft or pay order in approval of Director Training, Headquarters, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP.
There is an application form available in the website, by downloading and print out you can get the hard copy of the application form and it is also available at the Training Directorate at the headquarter which will be good solution for a cozy picnic. All these spots are surrounded by many trees which is very attractive to the tourists and that’s why these places are shady. All the area is very peaceful because there is entry restricted for general public which is very attractive to the tourists. The rent fees of the picnic spot are given on following: The picnic spots of Bangladesh Ansar-VDP academy are divided into various categories like A-1, A, B. Category A-1picnic spot is known as ‘Lake View’ picnic spot which has the capacity for maximum 400 persons and the rent fee of the spot is BDT 20,000 per day. Under category A has several picnic spots and the rent fee is BDT 12, 000 for each picnic spot. The picnic spots are ‘Tapoban’ has the Capacity for 800 persons, ‘Maloncho’ has the Capacity for 300 persons, ‘Chayanir’ has the Capacity for 400 persons. ‘Jui’ has the Capacity for 800 persons, ‘Hasna Hena’ has the Capacity for 400 persons, ‘Annondo’ has the Capacity for 300 persons. Under Category B has many picnic spots and the rent fee is BDT 8000 for each spot.
