Today we introduce you to the beauty of St. Martin’s Island in Bangladesh. St. Martin’s Island is the only coral island in the Bangladesh. The Coordinates of the island are 20°37'45.64"N, 92°19'29.00"E and the Country of this island is Bangladesh and the division is Chittagong Division, and the districts is Cox’s Bazar District. St. Martin’s Island is the only coral island in Bangladesh which is in the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal. It is about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf peninsula and 8 km west of the northwest coast of Myanmar. St. Martin’s is the most beautiful place in Bangladesh like as Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, Khagrachari, Rangamati, Chittagoang etc.

St. Martin’s Island is a small Island, but it is perfect for tourist who is truly interested in escaping the hold of a modern life. It is possible for you to walk around the island in a day because it measures only 8 km. This island is also called “Chera Dwip” because of the surrounding coral reef of the island.

The main attraction of St. Martin’s Island is:

Coral: Coral reefs are the world’s most spectacular and amazing underwater environments. There is a beautiful sandy beach on the St. Martin’s Island. St. Martin Island is abundant in corals and the surrounding coral reef of the island has an extension named “Chera Dweep”. Coral communities in St. Martin extend to about 200m offshore with the maximum coral cover of 7.4% and a colony density of 1.3m to 2.0 m. These comprise 66 coral species, of which 36 are living corals, 11 are soft corals and 19 are fossil corals. This coral is looking black and this beach is also known as ‘Rocky Beach’. These corals are very attractive to the tourists.

Sun Rising: Rising Sun is the main attraction of St. Martin’s Island. One can be able to visible best sight of the sun rising from here. Every morning many tourists gather here to enjoy this beauty. When the light of the sun falls in the sea during rising moment this scenery is very attractive to the tourists. The tourist enjoy the moments with their near and dears and sometime some of them are singing a song of their favorite singers which songs are related to the sun or light.

Sun-Setting: You can also enjoy the sun-setting in the St. Martin’s Island. To enjoy it better you have to present in the island because sea glowing red during the sun setting moment. It may take ten or twenty minutes for setting. Many tourists and local people gather here to enjoy the beauty of a sunset. The tourists take photos of beautiful sceneries with various styles. Walking through Island: Walking through St. Martin Island is very interesting because of the beach is sandy. As St. Martin’s Island is not very large you can walk through the whole island and enjoy the beauty of this island and Bay of Bengal. During walking beside the island the gentle air of the Bay of Bengal flows through your body will refresh your mind and you feel that you are in the Heaven. This fantastic moment you can’t forget in your life. As the main job of the local people is fishing, here you can eat delicious fried fish from the seller during walking which is very interesting for the tourists.

Narikel Jinjira: The local name of this island is “Narikel Jinjira” or "Narical Gingira". It’s meant an Island of Coconut. This named Narikel Gingira because on St. Martin’s Island has many coconut trees which make this island more beautiful these trees protect the St. Martin’s Island from many natural disasters like cyclones, Tornado, Tsunami, etc. The most interested topic is you can relax in the beach with a sweet coconut because coconut is available here.

On the beautiful St. Martin’s Island you have to maintain some rules which provided by Bangladesh Government. That is given below: “We have to keep this beautiful coral island neat & clean. This ground water level in this island is very close to the surface. So the water can easily get contaminated by open defecation and result in spreading water borne diseases like diarrhea. A study showed that the water of this area contains germs 100 folds more than that of normal level. Please dispose of all kinds of wastes in the dustbins kept in different places. Your support is truly required to maintain the biodiversity of this island.”

Dhaka to Teknaf: To reach St. Martin’s firstly you have to reach Teknaf or Cox’s Bazar or Chittagong. Though by airlines and train you can reach Chittagong, but by bus you can reach Cox’s Bazar or Teknaf very easily. We will try to give you some information about transport.

By Bus: If you want to go to St. Martin by bus you have to go first Teknaf. There are lots of bus services here from Dhaka to Teknaf. Teknaf to St. Martin’s:

From the Teknaf jetty you can find many ships of St. Martin’s Island like as an Eagle, MV Farhan, Rangabali, Kutubdia, Keyari Sindabad etc., but from these ships Keari Sindabad is the best and only tourist friendly ship transportation service for the St. Martin tour and this ship have enough safety equipment for the tourist during the journey of this route. Every day during the tourist season this ship beginning from Teknaf at 09:30 AM and retire from St. Martin at 03:00 PM. A round trip ticket is 450 taka per person and also book from Dhaka. Don’t worry if you miss the ship. You can use Trawler by 100 taka per person or hire speed boat which is costly. Today we discuss about Inani beach which is the most popular and attractive Sea beach in Bangladesh. The beautiful scenery of Inani sea beach is not only popular in our country, but also all over the world. The Coordinates of the beach are 21°35'N 92°01'E in the Division: Chittagong Division and the District is also Cox's Bazar District of Upazila Cox's Bazar Sadar. Inani Beach is the beautiful Sea beach which is in Ukhia Thana of Cox’s Bazar District. It is about 32 Km. to the south of Cox’s Bazar beach and 18 Km. long. Inani Beach is considered as the world’s longest and broadest beach (180m at high tide and 300m at low tide).

Inani beach is famous for its rock and coral boulders and also blue water. It is also famous for its golden sand and shark free blue water. This shark free blue water is ideal for sunbathing and the blue water of the sea and lines of stones makes the site attractive to the tourists. You can bath on the sea beach during high tidal sea because the beach is very wide, clam and surrounded by coral boulders. If you stand on the coral stones during bathing it’s looking as you are now standing on the midst sea and this scene is very interesting to the tourists. The Chittagong Commonwealth War Cemetery: 

The Chittagong Commonwealth War Cemetery is situated at Dampara, Badshah Miah Chowdhury Road, Chittagong, which is a memorable burial place for members of the armed forces who died during 2nd world war. This cemetery consists of about 755 burials were soldiers from United Kingdom-378, Canada-25, Australia-09, New Zealand-02, Undivided India-214, East Africa-11. Zia Memorial Museum: 

Zia Memorial Museum is situated on the Shahid Saifuddin Khaled Road, Chittagong the port city of Bangladesh. Zia was one of the most remembered war heroes and politicians and president in the history of Bangladesh. The building of the Zia Memorial Museum is previously known as old circuit house. The museum established in 1993 and is consists of 12 galleries which consist of personal belongings, the actual microphone and transmitter over which the president delivered his Declaration of Independence speech, the table and chair from where he ruled Bangladesh.

Ethnological Museum: 

Ethnological Museum is situated at Agrabad, Sea Beach, which is the only Ethnological Museum in Bangladesh. It is one of the most cultural enriching attractions of Chittagong. Banskhali Echo Park: 

This echo park situated in Banskhali at Chittagong. Firstly you have to reach Chittagong from Dhaka. Then go to Banskhali from Chittagong. There are many bus services to go Chittagong and rent is 480 to 1200 taka. You can also travel Chittagong by train and rent is 320 taka to 610 taka only. It takes 7 hours to reach Chittagong. You can go the Eco Park by CNG or Auto Rickshaw. The entry fee of this park is 10 taka only. There are two long bridge in this park by which you can see around of this park. There are two towers in this park which is best for sight-seeing and also a mini zoo for the tourists or visitors. You have to leave his park before evening because there is no guest house or motel in this park for the tourist or visitors. In this park you will find light food like as biscuits, chanacur, cheeps etc. but you cannot complete your lunch because there is no hotel in this park. You can also travel there with your family because it is a safe place for the tourists. You have to neat and clean this park which is ordered by the Park organization. There is a beach near to the park. You can also travel this beach. It is a very beautiful sea beach and important tourism spot in Chittagong.

Mirsharai range:

Chittagong is a hill city. It is the perfect place for hill tracking or outdoor spots and also travel. Mirsharai is a well-known upazila in Bangladesh under the Chittagong district.It is a beautiful tourism spot. Its total area is 482.88 square km. this upazila is surrounded by Tripura State of India. The hills range on the northern and eastern side of this sub district which is the perfect place for hill tracking and traveling. Total populations are about 325712. The main river of this upazila is Feni. You can spend a memorable day in your life in this Mirsharai range.

Sitakunda Eco Park Bangladesh:

Sitakunda Candranath hill is the perfect place for hill tracking in Chittagong. It is about 35 km away from the main town. It is very near to the Sitakunda main Bazar. This hill is our favorite small tracking destination. It takes about 2 hours to climb this hill. At the time of climbing you can see many temples, waterfall, hills trail and so onat this tourism spot. This hill is situated beside on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. To travel this tourism spot firstly you have to reach Sitakunda and then you can go there by walking. You can also travel a beautiful Eco park which is very close to Chandranath hill. Local name of this Eco Park is Shitakunda Eco Park. It is about 33 km from Chittagong main town. This park is full of natural beauty and endless repository. There are lots of trees and wild life in this park. You can also visit 4 waterfall in this park.

Shupto dhara waterfall: 

You can find this fall in the Sitakunda Eco Park. You will sea the signboard of Shupto dhara waterfall in the way of Eco park road. If you walk through the upstream of water you will find the beautiful Shuptp dhara waterfall. You can get help from the local people to reach this waterfall. It is really so beautiful tourism place for travel. It can be a best memorable visit or travel experience in your life. You should travel this beautiful place at rainy season. Sohosro dhara waterfall:

Khoiyachora waterfall: 

It is the biggest waterfall in the Sitakunda-Mirsharai range. This waterfall is one of the most beautiful tourism places of Chittagong. It is so much difficult to travel there. There are so many waterfall in the same trail. To travel there you have to start walking in the Boro Takiya Bazar. Boro Takiya is a small Bazar beside the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. The rent is about 50 taka only Chittagong to Boro Takiya Bazar. It takes 1.5 hours to reach Khoiya Chora waterfall from Boro Takiya Bazar. Another most beautiful waterfall is Boro Darugha Hat waterfall. It is the most attractive tourist spot in Chittagong District.

Foy’s Lake: 

Foy's Lake is the most important tourism place of Chittagong. Foy’s Lake is in the khulshi at Chittagong town. It is about 8 km away from the main town. Foy’s lake is the most beautiful and attractive lake in Bangladesh. It is an artificial lake. In 1924 it was dug under the Assam Bengal Railway Authority and it was known as Pahartali Lake. It is renamed by the British railway engineerFoy. Now the present ownership of this lake is Bangladesh Railway. The biggest hill in the Chittagong is Batali hill which is situated beside the Foy’s Lake. This artificial lake is one of the attractive and most beautiful tourist spot in Bangladesh. Country’s largest construction company Concord has set up an entertainment park in this lake, where visitors can tour the lake, boats, restaurants, tracking and concerts are also held.A beautiful small zoo is in here for the tourist. You can also travel this mini zoo. There are many cottages in this lake. You can also stay there. Every year lots of tourist come to travel this beautiful lake to enjoy the natural beauty. Chittagong Zoo and Court Building:

It is another beautiful tourism spot. You can travel this zoo for your mind refreshment. Cause it is a very beautiful place in the Chittagong town. This beautiful and attractive zoo was built in 1989 beside the Foy’s Lake. Total area of this park is 6 acres. In 2000 the total animal of this park is 280. This zoo is an artificial zoo which provides you mind refreshment and remove boringness in your life. Now we will talk about Court Building of Chittagong. This court building situated in the traditional hill Porir Pahar. By climbing this hill you will find this old building. Now this building is used for DC office. War Cemetery Chittagong Bangladesh: 

There is a war cemetery in the Chittagong which is known as Chittagong war cemetery. It is about 22 km north form the Shah Amanat International Airport and 8 km from Chittagong Port. After the 2nd world war British Army built this war cemetery. There are 400 graves in this cemetery. You can go there by bus or Auto Rickshaw from the Chittagong main town. It is an attractive place to travel. Every year a lot of tourists come to visit this war cemetery. By traveling there you have an extra experience in your life. 

Lal Dighi: 

Lal Dighi is one of the most attractive and beautiful traveling places in Bangladesh. It is situated end of the jail road in the Chittagong main town. There are two red building besides the pond and that’s why it is known Lal Dighi. There is also a temple in the northern side of the pond. Raja Ray Bahadur was a king of Chittagong. He was the owner of this Lal Dighi. Chittagong City Corporation is the new owner of this Dighi. You can travel there by bus or Auto Rickshaw. It is really a beautiful place to travel. 

Ethnological Museum of Chittagong: 

It is situated at the Agrabad in the Chittagong main city. This beautiful museum was built in 1965. There is no entry charge to enter the museum. It is always opened for the visitors or tourist. This museum is also used as a laboratory. You can travel this place to collect an extra experience in your life.

Halda River & Patenga Sea beach:

This River is in south-eastern part of Chittagong. The total length of this river is 81 km. This river mixed with Karnaphuli River in the kalurgath. Halda River is named by the saldha hilly village. This River is started from the Batnatoli hill. It is a very beautiful river in the Bangladesh. You can enjoy the natural beauty to travel this river. Patenga Sea beach is one of the most attractive and beautiful picnic spots in Bangladesh. Patenga beach is the closest see beach in the Chittagong town.
